Apply to the U-RISE at Lehman College Program
Who is Eligible to Apply?
You are eligible for support by the U-RISE program if you:
1. are a US-Citizen or permanent resident
2. are a full time undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry (including Biochemsitry) or Biology
3. intend to pursure Graduate school (PhD or MD/PhD)*
4. have a GPA of close to 3.0, or better
5. have completed at least 45 credits towards your degree.
* Students intendening to go to medical school are not encourgaed to apply to the U-RISE program
What are the Application Requirements?
The online application includes 3 sections that must ALL be completed and submitted.
PART A. Personal and Academic Information
In this section you will enter your personal information and answer all the questions in the online goodle form.
PART B. Recommender Information
In this section you will enter the names and email addresses of 2 Faculty members who will submit recommendation letters on your behalf. At least one of these faculty must be from Chemistry or Biology and if you currently do research in a Laboratory on Campus then one of the letters must be from your Research Mentor.

PART C. Document Upload
In this section of the application you will need to upload:
1. Your CV
2. Your Unofficial Transcript
3. 1-page essay describing your career goals, research interests and how a Ph.D. would help you achieve your goals
