Join our Lehman on the RISE program to develop your passion for research and prepare for a career in biomedical science. Our NIH funded RISE program provides opportunities to prepare for PhD programs in Biomedical Science. As a RISE trainee you receive financial, research and professional support as you work in a reseach lab in the Chemistry or Biology departments at Lehman College and participate in journal clubs and professional development workshops.

Interested in Research and/or Graduate School?
- Chemistry or Biology Major intending to pursue Graduate School
(PhD or MD/PhD programs)*
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Full time Undergraduate Student majoring in Chemistry or Biology
- Completion of 40 - 70 credits at time of application
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Students intending to pursue pure medical school are not
encouraged to apply to the RISE program
